Account Settings
Configure your personal HVAKR account from Settings. Account-level options live on three tabs: User Profile, Preferences, and Integrations. API access tokens live on the Developer tab — see the API Overview.
User Profile
Section titled “User Profile”Open Settings > User Profile to manage your identity and sign-in security.
Personal Information
Section titled “Personal Information”Update your profile:
- Seat — the HVAKR plan seat you currently hold (read-only)
- Profile Picture — click your avatar to upload and crop a new image
- Email — the address you sign in with (read-only)
- First Name and Last Name
- Title — for example, Senior Mechanical Engineer
Password
Section titled “Password”If you sign in with a password, click Change Password to set a new one.
- Go to Settings > User Profile
- Click Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm your new password
Accounts that sign in through Google or SSO won’t see this option.
P.E. Stamps
Section titled “P.E. Stamps”Upload a transparent PNG of your Professional Engineer stamp for each state you’re licensed in, then add one to a report cover page when you generate it.
- Go to Settings > User Profile
- Under P.E. Stamps, click Add P.E. Stamp
- Choose the State the stamp applies to
- Select or drop a PNG with a transparent background, then click Upload
Keep one stamp per state — uploading a new stamp for a state you already have replaces it. When you generate a PDF report, enable the P.E. Stamp option on the cover page: HVAKR uses the stamp that matches the project’s state (from the project address) and places it on the report cover page.
Multi-Factor Authentication
Section titled “Multi-Factor Authentication”Add a second sign-in factor for additional security:
- Go to Settings > User Profile
- Under Multi-Factor Authentication, click Enroll
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app
- Enter the verification code
Once enrolled, the section shows Enrolled.
Preferences
Section titled “Preferences”Open Settings > Preferences to customize how HVAKR looks and behaves.
Default Units
Section titled “Default Units”Choose Imperial or Metric for the values shown throughout the app.
Choose System, Dark, or Light. System follows your operating system’s appearance setting.
Mouse/Trackpad Controls
Section titled “Mouse/Trackpad Controls”Choose how scrolling behaves on the canvas:
- Zoom Mode — scroll to zoom in and out (“CAD-like”)
- Scroll Mode — scroll to pan (“web-like”)
- Tone — sets the writing style HVAKR AI uses in chat responses and generated documents
- Custom Instructions — standing guidance for the AI, for example “Always cite the section number”
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Toggle the emails HVAKR sends you:
- Inbox Notification Emails
- Marketing Emails
- Project Invite Emails
- Project Comment Emails
Integrations
Section titled “Integrations”Open Settings > Integrations to connect HVAKR to other tools:
- Claude — click Connect for a step-by-step dialog that adds HVAKR as a custom MCP connector in Claude and creates the access token it needs. See MCP Server for the full connector flow.
