PDF Export

HVAKR generates professional PDF reports suitable for client deliverables, permit applications, and construction documents. CSV and DOCX exports are also available from the same Files page.

Create reports from Reports > Files. The Create Report dialog lists the templates available to your organization.

Complete load calculation documentation:

  • Project, system, zone, and space summaries
  • Load component breakdown
  • Optional loads profile charts and psychrometric charts

Project documentation covering design criteria, building data, and system configuration.

Spreadsheet exports for further analysis. These are delivered as ZIP archives:

  • Heating and Cooling Loads Export — space, zone, and system load data
  • Hourly Loads CSV — hourly load profiles
  • Ventilation and Airflow — ventilation and airflow design data

When you create a report, choose a template and configure its options in the dialog.

  • Loads Configuration — cooling and heating, cooling only, or heating only
  • Include Systems, Include Zones, Include Spaces — control which scopes appear
  • Include Loads Profile Charts and Include Psychrometric Charts — toggle optional charts

CSV templates include scope checkboxes (project, systems, zones, spaces) and, where applicable, additional data columns such as ventilation or supply-air details.

Reports use your current display unit system (Imperial or Metric) at the time you click Create Report. Change units under Settings > Units before generating if needed.

PDF cover pages use your organization logo from Settings > Organization. If no logo is set, HVAKR’s default logo is used.

  1. Go to Reports > Files
  2. Click Create Report
  3. Select a report type and enter a name
  4. Configure template options
  5. Click Create Report

The report appears in the Files table when generation finishes. Long reports show an estimated page count and generation time, with an optional Notify me when complete checkbox.

Click Download on a completed report to save it. PDF, CSV, DOCX, and ZIP file types are supported depending on the template.

For completed PDF reports under 50 MB, click Analyze to open the report in AI chat for summarization.

The Loads Report includes:

  • Cover page with project and organization information
  • Table of contents
  • Project-level summary pages
  • System, zone, and space detail pages based on your scope options

A multi-section document covering project metadata, weather, envelope, space types, and systems.

  1. Complete calculations — ensure all spaces, zones, and systems are configured
  2. Review on screen — check Loads and other report views for errors first
  3. Verify units — confirm your display unit system matches project requirements
  4. Set organization logo — upload your logo under Settings > Organization
  1. Name files clearly — the dialog defaults to the template name; customize if needed
  2. Create versions — generate a new report for each revision
  3. Archive exports — download and keep with project deliverables

If a report shows Failed to generate in the Files table, try creating it again. Very large projects may take several minutes — use Notify me when complete for long-running reports.

For large PDFs:

  • Narrow scope with the include checkboxes (systems, zones, spaces)
  • Disable optional charts
  • Generate separate reports for different scopes
