PDF Export
HVAKR generates professional PDF reports suitable for client deliverables, permit applications, and construction documents. CSV and DOCX exports are also available from the same Files page.
Available Reports
Section titled “Available Reports”Create reports from Reports > Files. The Create Report dialog lists the templates available to your organization.
Loads Report
Section titled “Loads Report”Complete load calculation documentation:
- Project, system, zone, and space summaries
- Load component breakdown
- Optional loads profile charts and psychrometric charts
Basis of Design
Section titled “Basis of Design”Project documentation covering design criteria, building data, and system configuration.
CSV Exports
Section titled “CSV Exports”Spreadsheet exports for further analysis. These are delivered as ZIP archives:
- Heating and Cooling Loads Export — space, zone, and system load data
- Hourly Loads CSV — hourly load profiles
- Ventilation and Airflow — ventilation and airflow design data
Report Options
Section titled “Report Options”When you create a report, choose a template and configure its options in the dialog.
Loads Report Options
Section titled “Loads Report Options”- Loads Configuration — cooling and heating, cooling only, or heating only
- Include Systems, Include Zones, Include Spaces — control which scopes appear
- Include Loads Profile Charts and Include Psychrometric Charts — toggle optional charts
CSV Export Options
Section titled “CSV Export Options”CSV templates include scope checkboxes (project, systems, zones, spaces) and, where applicable, additional data columns such as ventilation or supply-air details.
Reports use your current display unit system (Imperial or Metric) at the time you click Create Report. Change units under Settings > Units before generating if needed.
Organization Branding
Section titled “Organization Branding”PDF cover pages use your organization logo from Settings > Organization. If no logo is set, HVAKR’s default logo is used.
Generating Reports
Section titled “Generating Reports”- Go to Reports > Files
- Click Create Report
- Select a report type and enter a name
- Configure template options
- Click Create Report
The report appears in the Files table when generation finishes. Long reports show an estimated page count and generation time, with an optional Notify me when complete checkbox.
Downloading
Section titled “Downloading”Click Download on a completed report to save it. PDF, CSV, DOCX, and ZIP file types are supported depending on the template.
AI Analysis
Section titled “AI Analysis”For completed PDF reports under 50 MB, click Analyze to open the report in AI chat for summarization.

- Cover page with project and organization information
- Table of contents
- Project-level summary pages
- System, zone, and space detail pages based on your scope options

Section titled “Basis of Design”A multi-section document covering project metadata, weather, envelope, space types, and systems.
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”Before Exporting
Section titled “Before Exporting”- Complete calculations — ensure all spaces, zones, and systems are configured
- Review on screen — check Loads and other report views for errors first
- Verify units — confirm your display unit system matches project requirements
- Set organization logo — upload your logo under Settings > Organization
File Management
Section titled “File Management”- Name files clearly — the dialog defaults to the template name; customize if needed
- Create versions — generate a new report for each revision
- Archive exports — download and keep with project deliverables
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Report Failed to Generate
Section titled “Report Failed to Generate”If a report shows Failed to generate in the Files table, try creating it again. Very large projects may take several minutes — use Notify me when complete for long-running reports.
Large File Size
Section titled “Large File Size”For large PDFs:
- Narrow scope with the include checkboxes (systems, zones, spaces)
- Disable optional charts
- Generate separate reports for different scopes
