Reports Overview

The Reports section provides detailed views of calculation results and generates professional documentation for your HVAC design.

Available Reports

Loads Summary

Comprehensive load calculation results:

Cooling and heating loads by project, system, zone, and space
Load component breakdown
System-level summaries
Peak load identification

Energy (β)

Annual energy-use and cost simulation, run against typical meteorological year (TMY) weather data:

Annual and monthly energy and cost breakdowns, by fuel type
Daily and full 8,760-hour load profiles, plus a load duration curve and load-vs-temperature scatter
Scoped to the whole project or a single system
Export the 8,760-hour profile as a CSV

Requires a weather station with TMY data selected under Basis of Design > Weather, and Building CTS Data selected under Basis of Design > Building Data. Missing either one shows a setup-gap screen instead of results.

Estimation (β)

Material takeoff and AI-generated cost estimate for equipment and ductwork:

Equipment and duct takeoff tables generated from the project’s systems and duct sizing
Per-item cost estimates, with assumptions and a confidence note
A cost estimate summary card
Export the takeoff as a CSV

Exports

Generate PDF and CSV deliverables from Reports > Exports — see PDF Export.

Viewing Reports

Access reports from the Reports section in the left sidebar. Each report type scopes results differently:

Loads Summary — choose a scope in the report’s sidebar tree (Project, System, Zone, or Space) to view detailed results for that scope. The on-screen report is scope-driven rather than a filterable table: you drill into the building hierarchy with the sidebar tree instead of filtering or sorting a flat list.
Energy — choose All Systems or a single system from the dropdown next to the report title.
Estimation — always shows the whole project; it has no scope selector.

Data Display

Cards and Tables

The Loads report presents results as summary cards — sums at peak, checksums, and per-scope data tables — for the scope you select. Values respect your display unit system.

Charts

The Loads report’s Chart view shows a Cooling Loads Profile (hourly load curve, with a 2D/3D toggle) and, for a zone or system, a Peak Coincidence card that scatters child scopes by their peak month and hour.

Exporting Data

PDF and CSV files are produced from Reports > Exports with the Create Export dialog, not from the on-screen report views.

PDF Reports

Loads Report — project, system, zone, and space summaries with component breakdown and optional charts
Basis of Design — design criteria, building data, and system configuration
HVAKR J — residential load calculation report (residential projects only)
Drawings — plan-sheet drawing of a project canvas with an engineering title block

Some export types only appear when your organization has that feature enabled — see PDF Export for the full catalog and availability.

CSV Exports

These three are delivered as ZIP archives:

Loads Report CSV — space, zone, and system load data
Time Series Loads CSV — hourly load profiles
Ventilation and Airflow CSV — ventilation and airflow design data

The ASHRAE 62.1 IAQP Ventilation Compliance export is a single CSV file. It appears for commercial projects when your organization has that feature enabled.

Other Formats

Mechanical Specification — AI-generated Division 23 spec, delivered as a Word document
gbXML Model and Raw JSON — geometry and project data exports; require a Team or Enterprise license

Display Units

On-screen reports and exports use your current display unit system (Imperial or Metric). Change it under Settings > Preferences before generating an export if needed.

Best Practices

Review before exporting - Verify calculations are complete
Check units - Confirm display units match project requirements
Include all systems - Don’t miss any equipment
Save exports - Archive PDFs with project files
