Reports Overview

The Reports section provides detailed views of calculation results and generates professional documentation for your HVAC design.

Comprehensive load calculation results:

  • Cooling and heating loads by project, system, zone, and space
  • Load component breakdown
  • System-level summaries
  • Peak load identification

See Loads Summary Report for the full view.

Generate PDF and CSV deliverables from Reports > Exports — see PDF Export.

Access reports from the Reports section in the left sidebar:

  1. Select a report type
  2. Choose a scope in the report’s sidebar tree — Project, System, Zone, or Space
  3. View detailed results for that scope

The on-screen reports are scope-driven rather than filterable tables: you drill into the building hierarchy with the sidebar tree instead of filtering or sorting a flat list.

The Loads report presents results as summary cards — sums at peak, checksums, and per-scope data tables — for the scope you select. Values respect your display unit system.

The Loads report’s Chart view shows a Cooling Loads Profile (hourly load curve, with a 2D/3D toggle) and, for a zone or system, a Peak Coincidence card that scatters child scopes by their peak month and hour.

PDF and CSV files are produced from Reports > Exports with the Create Export dialog, not from the on-screen report views.

  • Loads Report — project, system, zone, and space summaries with component breakdown and optional charts
  • Basis of Design — design criteria, building data, and system configuration
  • HVAKR J — residential load calculation report (residential projects only)
  • Canvas Drawing — vector plan-sheet drawing of the project canvas

Some export types only appear when your organization has that feature enabled — see PDF Export for the full catalog and availability.

Delivered as ZIP archives:

  • Loads Report CSV — space, zone, and system load data
  • Time Series Loads CSV — hourly load profiles
  • Ventilation and Airflow CSV — ventilation and airflow design data
  • Mechanical Specification — AI-generated Division 23 spec, delivered as a Word document
  • gbXML Model and Raw JSON — geometry and project data exports; require a Team or Enterprise license

See PDF Export for export options, scope controls, and licensing.

On-screen reports and exports use your current display unit system (Imperial or Metric). Change it under Settings > Preferences before generating an export if needed.

  1. Review before exporting - Verify calculations are complete
  2. Check units - Confirm display units match project requirements
  3. Include all systems - Don’t miss any equipment
  4. Save exports - Archive PDFs with project files
