Sheets

The Sheets pane displays your uploaded floor plans with spaces overlaid. Use this view to navigate your building model and verify space boundaries.

Select a sheet from the dropdown to display it. The floor plan appears with:

  • Space boundaries overlaid
  • Space names and areas
  • Envelope assignments (if configured)
  • Pan - Click and drag, or hold Space + drag
  • Zoom - Scroll wheel, or use +/- buttons
  • Fit to View - Press F to fit the entire sheet in view

Toggle the visibility of different layers:

  • Floor Plan - The underlying drawing
  • Spaces - Space boundaries and labels
  • Envelope - Wall, window, and door assignments
  • Grid - Reference grid overlay

Use the floor selector to switch between levels. Each floor typically has its own sheet.

HVAKR tracks relationships between floors:

  • Spaces directly above/below each other
  • Stacked zones for multi-floor systems
  • Vertical penetrations (stairs, elevators, shafts)

Set floor-to-floor heights for each level:

  1. Select the sheet
  2. Open sheet properties
  3. Enter the floor height

Floor height affects:

  • Space volumes (for ventilation calculations)
  • Vertical duct runs
  • Building 3D visualization

Access sheet properties from the sheet menu:

The calibrated scale factor. See Sheet Library for scale calibration.

Rotate the sheet if needed to match building orientation. This affects:

  • Solar calculations
  • Cardinal direction references

Define the visible area of the sheet. Content outside the crop box is hidden.

Organize sheets by:

  • Building level
  • Building section
  • Drawing discipline

For multi-sheet projects:

  • Align sheets to a common origin point
  • Use consistent scale across all sheets
  • Maintain floor-to-floor alignment
  1. Verify scale first - Check scale accuracy before drawing spaces
  2. Set floor heights - Enter correct floor-to-floor heights
  3. Use fit to view - Press F frequently to see the full context
  4. Check alignment - Verify that multi-floor buildings align properly
